Chiropractic Care — Thursdays
Dr. Mary McAndrews, DC, of McAndrews Chiropractic & Functional Medicine, sees patients on-site every Thursday. An independent practice, in our space.
Chiropractic care is available at our Lake Bluff studio every Thursday through Dr. Mary McAndrews, DC, an independent licensed chiropractor who practices on-site.
Dr. McAndrews operates her own independent practice. Flotstone provides the space; we do not provide, supervise, or direct chiropractic services, and chiropractic visits are scheduled and billed separately from Flotstone services.
Many of our guests find that an adjustment fits naturally alongside a float or sauna session. Floating takes your body weight off your spine for an hour, and infrared heat warms soft tissue beforehand - some people prefer one order, some the other. How you sequence it is a conversation between you and Dr. McAndrews.

Chiropractic appointments are booked directly with Dr. McAndrews and are separate from Flotstone bookings. Use the button above, or call us at (847) 482-1700 and we'll point you the right way. When you book, specify that you'd like the Thursday session at Flotstone in Lake Bluff - Dr. McAndrews also practices from her own clinic, so the location needs to be stated.
We'd recommend it - a lot of our members plan their Thursday around it. Warming soft tissue before manual work is standard practice across physical medicine: heat makes tissue more pliable and muscles less guarded, which is a better state to walk into an adjustment in. Floating does something different - a full hour with no gravitational load on your spine, and the muscles that brace you upright all day finally stop. Whether either works better before or after is worth asking Dr. McAndrews - you won't be the first to bring it up.
Loose, comfortable clothing that allows a full range of motion. Athletic wear is ideal.
That depends entirely on your situation, and it's a question for Dr. McAndrews rather than for us.
